The work

What's included

Rapid water extraction with same-day dispatch, six days a week. Truck-mounted extractors and submersible pumps pull standing water out fast, and drying equipment goes down the same visit.

  • Emergency line answered by a person, not a machine — 8am–6pm, Sunday through Friday
  • Same-day arrival with extraction equipment already on the truck
  • Truck-mounted extractors and submersible pumps for deep or wide water
  • Phone triage: we walk you through the water main and breaker panel safely
  • Drying equipment set the same visit, since extraction alone doesn't finish the job
  • Insurance documentation starts with the first photo, before anything moves

Process

What happens after you call.

  1. 01

    Call & triage

Cargo van loaded with air movers, dehumidifiers and ladders ready for a water damage job

While the crew loads, we walk you through finding the main shut-off, keeping people away from water near outlets, and moving what's movable. That call takes about two minutes and it saves material later.

  2. 02

    Arrive & make it safe

Large water-saturated patch spreading across wall-to-wall carpet in a finished basement

First job on site: confirm the source is stopped and the affected area is electrically safe. If the water is still coming, we stop it or isolate it before extraction starts.

  3. 03

    Extract

Flooded basement rec room with waterlogged boxes, furniture and soaked contents

Submersible pumps knock down depth; truck-mounted extraction handles carpet and hard floors with multiple passes. We pull out as much water as the equipment can physically remove, because whatever is left has to come out through the dehumidifiers instead.

  4. 04

    Remove what can't be saved

Standing floodwater across a basement floor with cardboard boxes wicking water

Saturated pad, swollen baseboard, and wet insulation won't dry in place, so they come out on the first visit and get itemized for the claim. We tell you what's salvageable and why, on the spot.

  5. 05

    Set drying & monitor

Sheet of standing water across a basement floor with soaked cardboard and belongings

Air movers and dehumidifiers go down the same visit, and the job continues into structural drying with daily moisture checks until the readings hit dry standard.

Insurance

We work with your insurance, and we bill them directly

  1. 01

    Call us

We answer, ask what happened, and get a crew moving. Same-day emergency response on active water.

  2. 02

    We document everything

We take moisture readings and photos and write up a scope of work before drying starts, so your adjuster has the file from day one.

  3. 03

    We bill your insurer directly

We work directly with your insurance company on covered water and mold claims, so you're not fronting the full cost and chasing reimbursement.

Your deductible is still yours to cover, and we'll tell you that number before any work starts rather than after. You also don't need a claim to hire us. Plenty of our jobs are paid directly by the homeowner, and after the free inspection we'll say which way makes more sense for the damage you have.

Common problems

What we get called about most.

Water is rising and you don't know where the shut-off is

In most homes it's where the water line enters, usually on the basement wall facing the street or near the water heater. Call and we'll help you find it while the crew is en route. Shutting the water off first limits everything that comes after.

Carpet squishing across a whole floor

Walkable-wet carpet holds far more water than it looks like. Truck-mounted extraction with a weighted tool pulls water through the pad, and you get a firm answer that day on whether that pad is salvageable or has to come out.

It happened at night

Shut off the source if you can reach it safely, move what you can out of the water, and call when the line opens at 8am. Morning emergency calls are dispatched first, and extraction usually starts the same day.

The shop-vac got most of it — is that enough?

Partly. It got the standing water, which helps, but the pad, subfloor, and lower drywall are still holding gallons. Extraction is step one of drying, not a substitute for it. A meter check takes a few minutes and tells you what's still wet underneath.

Who's showing up

Local and independent since 2019.

The person on the phone is the one planning your job, and the scope and moisture readings come from the crew that does the work.

FAQ

Questions we get most.

Do you bill my insurance company directly?

Yes. On covered losses we bill your insurer directly, so you're not writing a large check and waiting for reimbursement. You pay your deductible and we settle the rest with the carrier, backed by the photos, moisture readings, and daily drying logs adjusters ask for. You don't need a claim to hire us, though. A lot of our residential work is paid directly by the homeowner.

What should I do in the first few hours after water damage?

Stop the water if you safely can, at the main shut-off or the fixture valve. If water is near outlets, cut power to that area at the breaker, but never stand in water to do it. Move what you can off wet floors, and don't run a household vacuum on standing water. Then call (845) 262-6530; the sooner extraction starts, the more we can save.

How fast can you get here in an emergency?

Same day, usually within hours. When you call, a person answers, asks what happened, and gives you an arrival window based on where you are and what's already on the schedule. The truck comes loaded for extraction and drying, so work starts as soon as we're in the door.

How do I shut off the water to my house?

Find the main shut-off valve now, before you need it. In most homes around here it's in the basement where the water line enters, near the meter: a round wheel handle or a lever. Turn the wheel clockwise, or turn the lever a quarter-turn so it sits across the pipe. For a single fixture, use the small valve under the sink or behind the toilet. If the main is stuck or you can't find it, call your water utility.

Will someone actually answer if I call in the middle of the night?

The line is answered 8am to 6pm, Sunday through Friday, and you get us rather than an answering service. If water comes in overnight, shut off the main valve if you can reach it safely, move what you can out of the wet area, and call when we open at 8am — morning emergency calls are dispatched first and get same-day response. If the situation is dangerous, call 911 or your utility company.

Are you available on Shabbat?

No. We're a Shabbat-observant business, so the phones are off on Saturday. The other six days, the line is answered 8am to 6pm. If water damage happens on Saturday, shut off the main valve, move what you can out of the wet area, and leave a message — Saturday messages are the first ones we return when we reopen. If the situation is dangerous, call 911 or your utility company rather than waiting for us.
