Process
How the job goes.

Inspect & measure airflow
Airflow at the exterior hood measured before anything is touched, then a look at the run itself — length, turns, hose material, and how the previous installer handled it. Weak flow plus long dry times tells us how packed the run is.

Clean the full run
A rotary brush works the entire length of the duct while vacuum extraction captures what it frees. Lint packs hardest at the elbows and the termination, which are the sections a vacuum from the laundry room never reaches.

Clear the termination
The exterior hood gets cleared and checked. Lint-caked flappers, clogged screens, and bird nests all block the exhaust and make the duct fill up again quickly. If the hood itself is broken, we'll show you and tell you what to replace it with.

Reconnect & verify
The dryer gets reconnected, airflow is re-measured, and you get the before-and-after comparison. If the transition hose is foil or vinyl, we recommend swapping it for semi-rigid or solid metal, because lint catches in the ridges of those hoses.

Towels need two or three cycles to dry
This is the most reliable symptom of a blocked vent. The dryer isn't failing; the exhaust is blocked, so the moisture can't get out. One thorough cleaning usually brings dry times back to a single cycle and takes strain off the machine.
The dryer or laundry room smells hot or burnt
Take that one seriously, because it can mean lint is heating inside the duct or the machine. Stop using the dryer until the vent has been checked. We can usually get to these calls quickly.
Birds nesting in the exterior vent hood
A warm, sheltered duct is an easy nesting spot every spring. Nests block the exhaust completely and pack the duct with flammable material. We remove the blockage, clean the run, and recommend a guard that keeps birds out without choking the airflow.
The vent runs through the roof and nobody will touch it
Roof terminations clog worse than wall vents; lint travels farther and moisture cakes it at the cap. We handle roof-vented runs, clear the cap, and verify flow at the top of the run, not just behind the machine.

Do you use eco-friendly cleaning products?
Yes. Our standard residential line is non-toxic and biodegradable, chosen because we work in houses with kids, pets, and sensitivities every day. The rinse matters as much as the product: thorough extraction leaves no sticky residue in the fiber, which is what attracts soil back and causes irritation. Mention allergies or chemical sensitivities when you book and we'll use the mildest effective option.
Is the cleaning safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. The solutions we use in homes are child- and pet-safe at the dilutions we apply, and a thorough rinse means nothing harsh stays behind in the fiber. Keep kids and pets in another room during the work, mostly so nobody trips on hoses. Socks on damp carpet are fine right away; let pets back on once it's dry.
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Every three to five years for most homes, consistent with NADCA guidance. Clean sooner after a renovation, if you see mold or had water in the ducts, with heavy pet dander or a smoker in the house, or if they've never been done. We run a camera inspection first and show you what's in the ducts, and if the runs are clean we'll tell you to wait.
Can you get rid of odors in carpet and furniture?
Usually, yes, by treating the source instead of spraying over it. Pet accidents, smoke, cooking oils, and dampness each need different chemistry; enzymes break down pet odors, while smoke needs a different approach. One caveat: old urine that soaked into the carpet pad may need the pad replaced for the odor to go completely. If that's your situation, we'll tell you at the inspection.
