Strauss Cleanersis an independent restoration company serving New York and New Jersey. We're IICRC-certified for water damage restoration and mold remediation, and we run a full professional cleaning service alongside it: carpet, area rugs, upholstery, and air ducts.
Who we are
Restoration is the core of the business.
Strauss Cleaners has been serving the Hudson Valley and North Jersey since December 2019. The core of the work is water damage restoration and mold remediation: emergency extraction, structural drying, containment, remediation, and the rebuild afterward, handled by one crew from the first phone call to the last coat of paint.
The work runs on IICRC standards. We hold certifications in water damage restoration and mold remediation, the coursework that sets how drying and remediation are done. Every job starts with a free inspection, gets documented with photos and daily moisture readings, and ends against a written scope. On covered water and mold claims we bill your insurer directly, and you don't need a claim to hire us.
Water and mold emergencies get same-day response, six days a week. We also run a full professional cleaning service: carpet, area rugs, upholstery, air ducts, and dryer vents, with the same crew and the same phone number.

What we run on.
We tell you the limits
If a stain is permanent, you hear it before we clean, not after. If a mold patch is small enough to handle yourself, we say so, which is what the EPA's own guidance says too. You get that answer at the free inspection, before anyone quotes you a price.
Eco-friendly products
We're in homes with kids and pets every day, so we work with eco-friendly, non-toxic products. When you ask what mold means for your health, we answer the way the EPA does, without exaggerating it in either direction.
We keep Shabbat
We're a Shabbat-observant company, so the phones are off on Saturday. The other six days the line is answered 8am to 6pm, and a message left on Saturday gets a call back when we reopen.

One crew on the job
The person who answers the phone is the person planning your job. You're not routed through a call center, and the same crew handles the drying and the rebuild, so the work isn't handed off to a subcontractor you've never met.
We bill your insurance directly
On covered water and mold claims we document the damage the way adjusters need it, with photos before anything moves and daily moisture readings, then bill your carrier directly. You don't need a claim to hire us, though. Plenty of our jobs are paid by the homeowner.
Free inspections, written scope
Every job starts with a free inspection and ends that visit with a written scope. If the problem is smaller than you feared, or it can safely wait, that's what you'll hear.

Orange County gets our fastest response, and everywhere else comes down to driving distance. When you call, we give you an arrival window based on where you are and what's already on the schedule.
