Area Rug Cleaning — Free Pickup & Delivery
Factory-style off-site wash with free pickup and delivery, or on-site if that suits the rug better.
Serving Orange, Rockland & Westchester counties in NY and Bergen, Passaic, Essex & Hudson counties in North Jersey.
At a glance
Wool and hand-knotted rugs come out better from a full immersion wash than from a cleaning on your living room floor. Synthetics we clean on-site; wool, hand-knotted, and delicate pieces go to the facility to be dusted, immersed, rinsed, and dried flat under airflow. Pickup and delivery are free, and you get photos and a condition report before any water touches the rug.

Process
How the job goes.
- 01
Inspect & document
Fiber, dye, foundation, and existing damage documented with photos at pickup — you know the rug's condition going in, and so do we.
- 02
Dust
Dry-soil removal before washing. Years of grit settle into a rug's foundation where a vacuum never reaches, and washing over it grinds the grit into the fibers, so the dusting comes first.
- 03
Wash
Fiber-appropriate shampoo and a hand-controlled rinse: full immersion for wool and hand-knotted rugs that can take it, conservative low-moisture methods for viscose and fragile pieces.
- 04
Flat-dry
Dried flat under moving air to preserve shape and prevent color migration, typically over 24–48 hours. Fringe gets detailed at the end.
- 05
Deliver
Rolled, wrapped, and brought back to your door, and we'll lay it back in place if you want. Most rugs are home within about a week.
Common problems
What we get called about most.
Wool rug that's been cleaned wrong before
Crunch from leftover detergent, browning from over-wetting, or pile flattened by aggressive scrubbing. An off-site immersion wash with a full rinse and a flat-dry usually brings the rug back.
Viscose or silk-blend rug nobody wants to touch
Browning and texture damage risks are real with viscose. We test conservatively in a hidden corner and use a controlled low-moisture process. If we can't guarantee a safe outcome, we tell you before taking the rug, not after.
Hand-knotted or heirloom rug from a parent or a trip
Inspection and photos at pickup, dye stability tested before water touches it, fiber-appropriate shampoo, hand-controlled rinse, and a flat-dry over 24–48 hours. Irreplaceable pieces get the conservative version of every decision.
Pet accident on an area rug
On-site enzyme treatment handles synthetic rugs. For wool and natural fibers, off-site immersion is the only way to flush urine out of the foundation, since surface treatment on a natural-fiber rug covers the smell for a few weeks at best.
Musty smell from a rug that sat damp
Stored in a basement, caught in a leak, or rolled up wet: the smell lives deep in the foundation, and surface deodorizer only masks it. A full immersion wash and controlled flat-dry clears it, as long as the fibers haven't rotted. We check that at pickup, before you spend anything.

FAQ
Questions we get most.
How long until my carpets and furniture are dry after cleaning?
Four to eight hours for carpet; upholstery is similar, sometimes longer for thick cushions. Fiber type, humidity, and airflow all play a role, and running ceiling fans or the HVAC fan speeds things up. We do extra extraction passes to pull out as much moisture as possible. Walking on damp carpet in clean socks is fine, but keep shoes, pets, and heavy furniture off until it's fully dry.
Do you use eco-friendly cleaning products?
Yes. Our standard residential line is non-toxic and biodegradable, chosen because we work in houses with kids, pets, and sensitivities every day. The rinse matters as much as the product: thorough extraction leaves no sticky residue in the fiber, which is what attracts soil back and causes irritation. Mention allergies or chemical sensitivities when you book and we'll use the mildest effective option.
Is the cleaning safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. The solutions we use in homes are child- and pet-safe at the dilutions we apply, and a thorough rinse means nothing harsh stays behind in the fiber. Keep kids and pets in another room during the work, mostly so nobody trips on hoses. Socks on damp carpet are fine right away; let pets back on once it's dry.
Do you pick up area rugs for cleaning?
Yes, and pickup and delivery are free. Wool, hand-knotted, and delicate rugs shouldn't be steam-cleaned on your floor; they need an off-site wash where we can dust out the dry soil, test the dyes, immerse, rinse, and dry the rug flat under controlled airflow. You're also welcome to drop off and save the trip. Most rugs are back within about a week, and we confirm timing at pickup.
